The Dodge Omni is almost certainly not the car that comes to mind when you think of power. A subcompact, the Omni base model was nothing special, a simple runabout that drove countless people from A to B, every day. The Omni GLH, and its sister model, the GLH-S, however, were very much worth the time of any enthusiast. Overseen by the late, great Carroll Shelby, the GLH (Goes Like Hell) and the GLH-S (Goes Like Hell Some More) were bizarre and fantastic hot hatches. Powered by Chrysler 134 ci Turbo II engines, they allowed this light little car to, well, go like hell.

The GLH-S took this mighty combo even further, with a Turbo II being fitted, giving the lightweight 175 horsepower of punching power. All this gave the GLH-S a top speed of 130mph, a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds, and the power to put a quarter-mile under its wheels in fewer than 15 seconds.
