If you’re looking for a restomod that you aren’t likely to see everywhere else, you could do a lot worse than the Pontiac Ventura. Or, to put it more precisely, the Pontiac Ventura II. Produced from 1971-77, the Ventura came in two flavors, coupe and sedan, and several engine sizes – a 250ci V6 was the base motor, with 305, 307, and 350 V8s also available, with the latter only available on the GTO, produced from 1974-75. If you’re looking for a cheap price, you won’t want the GTO, but you should be able to find a ’72 Ventura II for about $7000.

Most parts won’t be a huge deal to find replacements for: a lot of the parts between X-body cars (Ventura, Chevy Nova, Olds Omega) are interchangeable, giving you access to a wealth of parts from the off. Finding a Ventura will actually prove quite a bit more difficult than getting a lot of the parts for any refurbs: only 350,000 were made over their run, so be prepared to travel.
