Oldsmobile Cutlass

The Oldsmobile Cutlass is a car that’s overlooked a lot, in favor of its more famous competitors of the era like the Mustang or Charger. While it may have aged into a substantially disappointing motor in the 80s and 90s, the Cutlasses of the late 60s and early 70s were fantastic muscle cars. Ignore the 4-4-2 if you’re on a budget, as they’re a lot more coveted. If you’re willing to restore the bodywork and interior, you can get some bargains for around $5000-$10000.

Parts are extremely easy to find, and thus cheap, as many are interchangeable with any other A-Body car which GM produced. Exterior parts will be harder, but if you’re not interested in keeping it looking stock, custom ones won’t be as difficult. In this production era, the Cutlass came with either a V6 or a V8, and replacement or repair will be necessary to get it back in fine muscular form. It’s more of a challenge than the others on this list, but if you’re up for it, the rewards will be substantial.
