Classic Challenger Looks Meet Hellcat Engine In This Amazing Restomod

The Mopar Hellcat engine is a thing of beauty. Capable of producing hellacious horsepower, the 6.2 liter engine was recently made available as a crate engine, complete with warranty. Now, doesn’t this make things easier for restomodders? While the engine has been available in modern Dodge Challengers for some time, until now it’s been a case of visiting a scrapyard if you wanted to put one in a classic. No more! Some wonderful human beings have noticed and made this screaming demon of a 1970 Dodge Challenger.

Featuring a blacked out Be Cool radiator, this dark destroyer, called the Super Cat, has been perfectly restored and modified. The exterior features new headlights, a Challenger T/A style hood scoop, and a small rear spoiler. Inside, you’ll find a tan leather interior complete with notable nods to modernity, including what appears to be a touchscreen console, in front of the pistol grip shifter. Said shifter is linked up to a Tremec six-speed transmission, which should make the most of the Hellcat. Marshalled by Wilwood disc brakes on all four wheels, this is one hell of a machine. Underneath the body, there’s the restomod favorite that is coilover suspension.
